The cost involved with a facsimile machine is not limited to the equipment cost. There are other costs that are associated with it. Not only is this paper costly, it also needs additional back up and its subsequent expenditure through a copier machine or a scan because the thermal prints on a fax copy will disappear after a few months. Maintenance of a fax machine, either individually or through a maintenance contract incurs additional cost. A fax machine will have to be connected to a telephone line and often, this telephone line needs to be dedicated for fax usage. The installation charges, maintenance and monthly rental charges can also be chalked up to the fax expenses. The users have no option but to endure all these additional expenses if they want to have a fax machine in their offices. An easier, better, cost efficient alternative would be to avail the services providers who offer fax numbers and online services. The customers need not undergo the hassle of maintaining the fax machine and can also save a lot of money in the bargain.
